Every now and again we encounter really good waves in this country. A fickle joint, despite favorable charts and apparent planetary alignments, sometimes conditions don’t quite manifest. Maybe the wind needed to swing just a little more. The tide was wrong. Time and again we find ourselves chasing rainbows. For all the wasted petrol and days mis-spent we sometimes find what we were after. Such times can be rare. One thing is sure; it is never accidental who we find around those corners ready to paddle out as the tide begins to come right.
